         INTELLIGENT BRAKING SYSTEM

In this new era speed , accidents have become common. These occur either due to human errors or due to failure in the vehicle with former being the main reason.Due to these accidents invaluable lives, material and money are lost. To avert such accidents, this system senses the danger and at the crisis moment takes control of the vehicle. The Intelligent Braking System caters to this. This system is microprocessor based automatic system, which receives the distance of the object in front through the a distance sensor. It calculates the speed of the vehicle using the proximity sensor.

Using this speed it calculates the braking distance i.e. the distance at which the vehicle comes to a complete stop when the brakes are applied. The microcontroller compares these two distance and if they are within critical limits microcontroller actuates the brakes and slows down the vehicle or brings it to stop.

In this projects , 40 khz ultrasonic distances sensor is selected . This projects is designed for four wheelers. We also designed the program for vhicles in turnig paths. Hence accidents can be avoided by following this system.
